Cubs Team of the Week

Congratulations to the Olney Cubs for being named KFDX Team of the Week. If you get a chance tell these kids congrats and to keep working. I know it has been a stressful start to school but the coaching staff thanks each and everyone of you for what you do for our kids. Commissioner Morath Announces School Districts Earning Postsecondary Readiness Distinction

Commissioner of Education Mike Morath announced today that 61 school districts and district charters across the state received a distinction designation for postsecondary readiness as part of their 2018 state accountability rating. Accountability Highlights

Of the 37 districts in Region 9 Olney was one of three (8.1%) to obtain the “A” rating. Of the 1023 non-charter public schools in Texas Olney ISD was one of 121 districts (12.8%) to obtain the “A” rating. Olney ISD was the only district in our Region 9 area to earn the postsecondary distinction. Only 61 districts statewide (5.1%) earned this distinction. . . .
