I began teaching at Olney ISD in 2009 as a 6th grade Language Arts teacher. I moved to Olney High School in 2013 and taught English and Theatre Arts.
I began as Library Director for Olney Community Library in 2014.

I have been married to Rick (Vernon College – 2010), an EMT for 35 years and we have three children. All five of us graduated Olney High School...Classes of 1984, 1985, 2006, 2011, and 2015. Steven (Paul Mitchell the School, Orlando -2009) teaches cosmetology in Orlando, FL, Samantha (Texas Tech – 2014) teaches kindergarten at Olney Elementary and Spencer (Texas State Technical College – 2016) works locally as a welder. I have a wonderful son-in-law, Michael (Texas Tech – 2012) and beautiful daughter-in-law Kimberly (Midwestern State University – 2020). My grandchildren are Henry, Grant and Ruth. We also have a little dog named Hamilton (He has no degree or certification :-)).
I love to travel and have been to many of the United States, but Alaska, Florida and Massachusetts (Boston) are some of my favorites. I have also visited seven European countries – England, Netherland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Switzerland.
Rick and I love relaxing at the beach in Port Aransas. We go there as often as we can.
